So we started to properly plan out our route the other day, and we've done a few sums...

We have around 8000 miles to cover, and Bertie (bless his cotton socks) doesn't really like travelling at any sort of speed. We reckon we've got over 180 hours of driving ahead of us, that's 10800 minutes. Or to look at it another way, we need a driving playlist of over 3000 songs....

Then we had an idea...

Why don't we let people contribute to our Driving Playlist? A bit of web-magic from dragon-supporter Dyson later, and we have a brand new fundraising tool -where you can pick what songs you would like to add to our playlist (in exchange for the small donation of £1 per track)  read more »

Today marks 100 days until the launch date of the Mongolia Charity Rally, scary stuff! We decided a few weeks ago to hold an Easter Egg Tombola and cake sale to mark the day, celebrate Easter, and raise some extra funds for Mongolia.

Thanks to Tesco’s Buy 2 Get 2 Free deal on Easter Eggs a couple of weeks ago we had 24 Easter Eggs for our tombola which went down really well at 50p a ticket. We had plenty of goodies to sell too after friends and family pitched in with the baking effort, we didn’t set a price for the cakes and just accepted donations.  read more »

Well,

I thought I would give a quick update as to our progress, seeing as in three months' time we will be already on the road..

The vehicle is now up on show on our vehicle page.  It's a Mitsubishi L200, but is yet to have a name!

Fundraising is going well - the date of 23rd February is set with Rebecca Hill in Princes Risborough, so do come along and get involved.  We will also be doing a raffle - more details to follow in the coming weeks.

Finally, we have a sponsor!  Hypnos beds, who are based in Princes Risborough, have kindly donated to us, and our vehicle will be sporting their logo as we drive across the steppes - thank you Hypnos!
