East to East

10,000 miles of pot-holes, bandits and strange borders... Oh, and it's the only Mongolian rally all for charity.

The Mongolia Charity Rally is a pan-continental drive across five mountain ranges, two deserts and more barren and inhospitable lands than you care to shake a gear-stick at. Starting in the East of England, the final destination is the great Mongol capital of Mongolia, beyond the Gobi desert, Ulaanbaatar.

The idea is to get ourselves a sturdy steed, a group of friends and venture out in to the wilderness with nothing more than guile, intellect and blind luck to guide us. Sometime later, after many adventures we might reach your destination all in one piece. Then our (now not so sturdy) steed plus all our gear is donated to charity and we fly home!

Road past OlgiiOur route will be taking us through the dreaded M25, France, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Russia (again) and then finally Mongolia.With less than 4 years worth of motorcycle riding between us, it's going to be one hell of a challenge.

None of us have ever ridden off road and those who have seen "Long Way Round" will know how challenging some of the route will be. As well as being for a good cause it will be a great adventure. If we're not back in three weeks, just wait a bit longer!
