Ulaanbaatar Child Centre

Project Budget:
GBP 10,000.00

The project seeks to establish a new child centre in central location of Ulaanbaatar City to function as a drop-in and support service centre for street children. The project proposes to relocate the child centre to more centrally located place in the city where street children are. This will allow more street children to benefit from family reunification activities, developmental activities, referral services, individual and group counselling services, and other essential services planned for street children through the newly established child centre. In addition, the new child centre will function as a support centre to NGOs and government agencies working on street children issues. The project also seeks to equip a newly constructed Rehabilitation and Education Centre in Ulaanbaatar with technical therapy equipment* needed to function as the national rehabilitation centre for children with physical and learning disabilities.

* = Physical therapy equipment (tumble forms, bubble ball bath, wrist and ankle weight, children's folding parallel bars, powder board table); speech therapy equipment (one handed writing board, head pointers); occupational therapy equipment (utensil sets, pegboards); and hydro therapy equipment (swimming pool lifter).
