Volvo's and Saab's are my first love in cars other then Landrovers. So I should say yes, Saab's are strong, well built and won lots of rallies. However, high mileage, complicated engine, would have me say no.
But having said that, I might re-consider if you convince me otherwise by telling me what you want to do to the car. Engine rebuild, overhaul, plenty parts to go with it. Maybe find a dealer willing to do the job.
Honestly would love to see a Saab in Mongolia. Vikings and Mongols mix well.
