Ok so we are the proud owners of a Mistubishi Shogun. It's a powerful beast with a V6 3.0 litre engine and should get us there with a minimum of fuss.
It will have 3 hydrogen cells fitted to the engine, which will reduce fuel consumption by about 25-30%. Unfortunately, it doesn't (yet) have air-con, but hopefully we can persuade some kind fellows to fit us one for free.
PajeroThis car has almost every extra you can think of. Big wheels, bull bar and 10 front facing lights to show the way. Best of all, a lot of music power. The beast is not-stoppable, well hopefully!
I've spent a lot of time and money on this vehicle and have been using it daily for the past six months. I like it so much that when I return to the Uk i'm going to buy another one. I've tried to make this vehicle as useable as possible for whoever ends up with it in Mongolia. Its booked in for its final service on the 3rd July along with a full check of anything that might break, so it can be fixed or replaced. I'll be sad to see it go!
