Latest update from the rally organisers is that they consider that Ghengis Folly were just unlucky with the border guard, as far as they know there are no restrictions on right hand vehicles and several of them have driven through the country in the past with no problems with right hand drive. They have contacted the various embassies to try and resolve any arising problems but apparently it is against the geneva convention of driving to refuse you entry so there you go can't do anymore for you on that score. Do you still want me to check on where you can get a ukranian visa in Georgia? Take care and good luck with the border!
