Thanks for the offer, but I've got enough to carry already. Paraglider, guitar, laptop, clothes sleeping bag, etc. I tried busking here once with an Irish guy who Knew me from Oxford. We made just a bit less than the average mongolian earns in a day (nothing).

Paraglider? So that's how you got across the desert... so has Rich spontaneously combusted from the lack of chips? Or have they atually let him get on the trans-siberian xpress ;-)

Rich, in his usual haste, decided the train was too much hassle and got an expensive flight back to london last friday. Don't know if he made it yet! I hope he puts some of his pictures up here soon. There are chips of a kind available in UB but for the rest of the journey he'd taken enough crisps and sweets from tesco to keep him alive. The train from here to moscow (5 days and several thousand miles) costs about fifty quid. Thats quite a bit less than Coventry to london.
