Well, I'm sat on my laptop in Astana International airport, waiting for our flight to Moscow that leaves at 9pm local time (3pm GMT). Back in Ukraine we hit a pothole the size of a bathtub, and that seems to have caused a problem with the cooling system. We lost a lot of water there at the side of the road, and the car has been using as much water as we fill it up with since, yet there are no visible leaks. There is also oil in the radiator, and although the temp guage never worked properly (i.e. never got past about 1/4) it now doesn't move off the stop, and the top of the radiator stays cool. We decided to drop out as breaking down in the Altay mountains would cause huge problems for us, not to mention the other 2 teams that would be burdened with us.  read more »
