Abandoned - why?:
Half way through our journey, in Slovakia, 3 of our 4 members got their passports stolen, as well as the car registration paper and the insurance. Since the owner of the car had to drop out of the rallyn since getting an Iranian passport back takes about a month, and the vehicle cannot pass the border withouth the owner, our beloved Hilux Surf was dumped in Latvia, the last of Schengen countries, right before entering Ukrain. 2 members continued the journey using the trans siberian.
