The Renegade Taxi

Greetings to the sane and insane alike! The Renegade Taxi is a gutsy little beast ... this 1.3-litre Mk.V Ford Escort will be taking on whatever the east can throw at it on its journey to Mongolia. This will undoubted involve mountains and deserts, more mountains and deserts, even more mountains and deserts and ... well I'm sure you get the idea by now. Other fun will be had with makeshift mechanics, flat tyres, navigation by the method most commonly known as 'iny-meany-miny-mo', flat tyres, gun totting bandits, flat tyres, dodgy border guards, flat tyres, exotic food, flat tyres, heat-stroke, flat tyres, yak and camel avoidance, flat tyres, yurts, flat tyres, spectacular views, flat tyres, extreme river crossings, flat tyres, makeshift camping and I almost forgot ... flat tyres.

So while the crew will benefit from all this fun, they are also raising funds for charity, this is because it's all too easy to jump on a jet spend 2 weeks in the sun and totally ignore the fact that real life continues and real life is rarely as nice as it could be, because we're all too busy running away from the mess we make of it ourselves. Basically, we're gonna have an adventure, but we're gonna make sure someone benefits from our time having that adventure ... and as such it is ... the proof in the pudding!
