The finish isn't very good but hopefully it will stop the rot until after the rally at least.
At the risk of upsetting one potential sponsor but pleasing another - Hammerite gives a much better finish more easily. And not just in terms of appearance; it seems to coat more evenly and adhere better thus giving greater protection. It may be that I wasn't using the plasti-kote in ideal conditions or correctly - but I have found that Hammerite goes on easily and gives good coverage and a decent enough finish pretty much however badly you use it!

okay, it's a bit rubbish - but sponsor it anyway ... a fiver gets your name written on one of the visible sections - and that's a bargain 'cos each surface you see in the picture will be instantly visible once the bonnet is up and that could be quite a lot .. and will be in every photo of the running repairs! I am robbing myself here,well actually, the charities ...... go on ... give a few quid to the charity and I will write your name on here!
