| Andrew Hazell | In his last year of a BA (Hons) War Studies course, Andy is raring for adventure! Having spent his gap year in Afghanistan, he’s no stranger to foreign driving.Very basic levels of mechanical skill may be a downfall, but as a Felicia owner he’s used to no acceleration and pitiful looks. | |
| Craig Vaughan |
Recruited for this mission last minute, Tom and Andy’s parents should breathe a sigh of relief. Craig, a qualified lawyer, comes armed with a copy of his contracts law and crime text books ready to yell habeas corpus, magnus carta and other unsuitably big words if/when arrested. Tasked with the highly stressful job of navigation and sea rescue, Craig is prepared with his budgie smugglers and compass ready to dive in at the first sign of drowning or shark attack. “Head east” he may demand, Craig will have his team to China by the Olympics – possibly in 2008 however there are no guarantees. Prince William, lock up Katie (or is that Catherine) Middleton because the thunder from down under is coming. ETA 30 June 2008, have a tea and a biscuit ready please. | |
| Tom Birch | Also in his last year, Tom is currently studying Artificial Intelligence at Birmingham University. Tom is worried about flipping the Van onto its roof having passed his driving test only 3 weeks ago. Having living in Selly Oak for a year,he’s ready for whatever nastiness and depravation we encounter. Enthusiastic, and with a mouth to match – Tom is the bookies favourite to get kidnapped by an irate Russian. |
