Team Blitz in action!Team Blitz in action!

Team Blitz is a renowned supplier of all things Capri.  The company is based in Ohio, USA but they supply parts worldwide.  The company is owned and operated by Norm Murdock.  Norm has won Driver Championships as both an amateur and professional in the US and nobody knows more about Capri's than him!  In business for more than 25 years, Norm and Team Blitz have amassed over 2.5 million parts for Ford Capri's.  If you are restoring, repairing or upgrading a Capri, you really should visit www.teamblitz.com for everything you will ever need, can't find or didn't even think still existed! From Mk 1 to Mk 3, from original factory parts to racing upgrades, Team Blitz has it all! The car you see in the picture is a Mk1 2.6 V6 Capri.  This car is a Championship winner, and Norm and his co-driver, Larry Wells, rally this car throughout North America.  Reading about their exploits convinced me that my Capri could, with proper preparation, make it to Mongolia and back!

....... and I am currently twisting his arm to come drive with me ... watch this space!

Re: www.teamblitz.com

It looks like the arm twisting is working ... Norm 'Mad Dog' Murdock of Team Blitz is all set to sign on as the second member of 'Team 50 Degrees North'.

'A Capri to Mongolia and back' is looking a little less impossible by the day... but now I am really scared ... I have a proper rally driver joining the team ... oh good!

What have I done???

Re: www.teamblitz.com

Oh heck, Andy, all a "proper" rally driver will do is go in deeper, stay in longer, and splatter dirt all over the place. You'd be fine on your own. I'm working to make this happen. Anxious to be able to give it 100% confirmation. Soon! Just a Worldwide Depression, is all we have to overcome! C'mon, world, cheer up! Norm  (Stop it with the "Mad Dog" or I'll dub you something clever, mate, hehehehehe...arrf-arrf....grrrrr...)

Re: www.teamblitz.com

Well good news, sports fans ... Team 'Team Blitz' is fully on board with both Norm 'Mad' Murdock and Larry 'hasn't got a nickname yet' Wells signed up for the Official Mongolia Charity Rally 2009.  You should all know about Norm by now, at least you should - if you have been reading my posts, so Larry only needs the briefest of introductions - although that might seem disrespectful which it most certainly isn't supposed to be  ... suffice it to say Larry is the legendary rally stage navigator who ensures that when Norm is going in deeper and staying in longer, he is actually doing it in the right direction .... which may well be very useful on the way to Mongolia and back in my Capri!  Either way, it is unlikely that Norm would win a game of 'snap' without Larry calling the turn of the cards ..... let's hope his navigation skills will work just as well somewhere in the Mongolian Altai! Incidentally, Larry is a mean auto-crosser ... which will come in handy when trying to avoid the local police mafiosa or when exiting the Prague Railway Station car park .... Cool
