In M,oscow, got my boarding pass and waiting to board for london. Should be home for lunch. Cornish pasty and chips?

Although right now I'm really looking forward to a good cornish pasty and chips when I get home.

On this trip I haven't eaten nearly as much as I normally would - which is good. But when I have eaten, I've eaten pretty much anything, including boiled sheeps liver served from a communal plate which Ajay and I shared with some Mongolian friends around the dining table in a traditional Mongolian ger. It is true what they say - hunger is good sauce.

Sitting in UB airport waiting for the plane to Moscow. Only have 50 minutes to change plane in Moscow and need to also collect boarding pass during that time. Yikes!

Ajay just left to go and catch his plane. He is flying home via seoul tonight and I am going via Moscow tomorrow at 7:30am. It was sad to bid Ajay farewell as the moment truly marked the end of the trip. Over these last few weeks we've really got the maximum out of life and at the same time been reminded of just how important our family and friends are to us. I hope I can cling on to the lessons learned on this trip and use them to help me live a better life at home. We've done a tremendous thing in delivering the ambulance to Olgii and our actionthe vehicle should truly go on saving lives for many years to come. But now it is time to go home. I miss my family.

We arrived in UB at 11:30. Had been hoping there would be an airport hotel, but no such luck. We were swamped by taxi drivers touting for business the moment we emerged into the arrivals hall. Eventually went with a guy called Puujee who spoke very good english and who recommended a good affordable hotel in the city. Unfortunately the hotel had no basic rooms free so we had to get a suite for $100, which is actually ridiculously cheap for the quality of the place, but still much more than we had been intending to pay. Still, its nice to have a proper toilet and plumbing that works for once! Ajay has to leave at 10pm for his flight and I leave at 5:30am tomorrow.

Saturday when we were in the internet café trying to upload some pictures we met an Italian lady, Christina, who is travelling Mongolia for a month with her friend. She told us her friend, Sara, was sick and she didn't know what to do so we suggested she come with us to the hospital the next morning and we would try to get her treatment. It turns out later that day lost christina hurt her foot and so by the morning we had two patients to take. When we got to the hospital I spoke to our friend, Dr. Jak, and he immediately took them in to the hospital and gave them the full VIP treatment.
